Former Liverpool target Khephren Thuram is likely to sign for Juventus this summer. The Nice midfielder was heavily linked to a move to Anfield last summer, but a move for the French international from the Reds never emerged.
Instead, they opted to sign Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szobozslai, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo as part of their summer 2023 midfield makeover, which desperately needed rejuvenating.
The 21-year-old, who is the son of French World Cup winner Lillian Thuram and the brother of Inter Milan forward Marcus, has just one year left on his contract, meaning his price tag has come down sizeably from last summer.
With Nice keen to receive a fee for Thuram, rather than let him go on a free, his price tag looks to have been slashed in half from €50m to €25m.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports the Nice midfielder looks set to join Juventus after having agreed to personal terms with the Serie A side, with the two clubs in talks.
Juventus have already lost one French midfielder this summer in the form of Adrien Rabiot, who is currently a free agent, albeit one who is reportedly negotiating a new deal with the Old Lady.
Last season, they were also hit by the news of a four-year doping ban Paul Pogba and having to work without banned midfielder Nicolo Fagioli, who only returned to action with two games left of their Serie A campaign.
Liverpool have yet to make a foray into the transfer market so far, but have been linked with a host of players who would improve their squad.
The likes of Riccardo Calafiori, Joshua Kimmich and Nico Williams, who have all shone at Euro 2024, have been linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
The Reds were also reportedly offered Anthony Gordon by Newcastle United due to their PSR issues, which have since been resolved, although the situation could be revisited later in the summer.
