Another day, another nailbiter for Team USA. After nearly dropping their game against South Sudan, LeBron James and the US team found themselves in a close game against FIBA World Cup champions Germany.
In the end, it was LeBron who rescued the game, scoring 10 straight points to get the victory. Despite the Los Angeles Lakers star’s best efforts, it was not enough for Skip Bayless.
Bayless took to X to post his thoughts. The media figure said that if prime Michael Jordan was on the team, they’d fare much better.
LeBron led the entire Team USA in scoring with 20 points while being the first option on offense. Uncharacteristic mistakes from the team gave the Germans a chance to win the game. However, the Lakers star slammed the door on their dreams with a furious late-game run.
This was Team USA’s final tune-up before the Olympics officially tips off this weekend. Their first game will be against Serbia, who they’ve already faced in a different tune-up
