‘BETTER THAN THEM’ – Graeme Souness Makes Man City And Arsenal Title Prediction Following Liverpool’s Strong Start

Liverpool’s stock has increased after the team won their first three Premier League games, including an impressive victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

However, former player and manager Graeme Souness believes his former club won’t beat Manchester City or Arsenal to the Premier League title this season. Speaking on talkSPORT, Souness said:

“The reason I don’t think they will win it is because the other two teams [Arsenal and Manchester City] are better than them.”

Souness seems to believe it will be a two-horse race for the title again, with the Gunners expected to be the closest challengers to City’s crown.

Guardiola’s men have made an impressive start of their own
Despite all the talk about Liverpool, it is the reigning Premier League champions who lead the way heading into the first international break, sitting top of the table on goal difference with maximum points.

9 goals scored and just 2 conceded in the first three fixtures is a more than decent return. Manager Pep Guardiola had warned that his side could get off to a slow start, with many first-team players having come back late for pre-season.

However, they won every competitive fixture in August, including the Community Shield against United. There are, of course, bigger obstacles coming up, including a match versus Arsenal on September 22nd.

When will City face Liverpool?
While we will soon find out about Arsenal’s title credentials when they face Guardiola’s team later this month, it will be a while before the Cityzens take on the Merseysiders.

The first league fixture takes place at the end of November, which is just under three months away. That game will be at Anfield, with City’s home match set to be held in late February.
