San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan explains how the organization will approach Ricky Pearsall’s rehab on Thursday.
After several 49ers players suffered minor injuries during training camp and the preseason, it appears the majority of the group is back on the field.
All but three players returned to the field for a sunny afternoon practice on Thursday. One of the three players who didn’t participate was receiver Ricky Pearsall, who was placed on the non-football injured list and will miss the first four games. Coach Kyle Shanahan was happy to see the rest of his group more fully than in a few time.
“It’s great to bring everyone here,” said Shanahan on Thursday. “I could not be more excited, but it ends as soon as you appreciate it, and it usually takes time as soon as you think about the calendar and what you do in practice. And then it becomes a real football. “”
The defensive line player Yetur Gros-Matos, who injured the knee during the pre-season final of San Francisco, is still not participated in the practice, but has been seen under the supervision of the medical training staff of the team. The second Dee Winters is still equipped with an ankle injury.
Brandon Aiyuk’s recipient and the left plateau Trent Williams left of the Tack of the Trent Williams tackle on the ground in the field since he accepted. The head coach temporarily confirmed that one of the two players represented on Monday evening of the club in the club in the Occupation of the New York Jets, but he did not refuse the opportunity either.
The decision is based on what Shanahan sees in the next exercises of the two players.
“It’s great to recover our boys,” said Shanahan. “I feel so well in terms of our team, especially to be able to end them and to recover these two boys contractually. Return part of the health that boys lacked on the offensive, which feels good. But now I’m all in and you usually start doing that pretty early in training camp.
“I have a lot of confidence in these guys that they’re conditioned. They’ve done everything. But football is about playing as a team and 11 guys moving together and that’s what we’re trying to do in these practices.”
Shanahan did share that there is a possibility that Talanoa Hufanga could play in the season opener, but that final decision has yet to be made. Christian McCaffrey, Jauan Jennings and Isaac Guerendo all have a chance to play Monday night as well.
