Isaiah Hartenstein made the move to the Western Conference earlier this summer when he exited the New York Knicks for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Therefore he will be a direct rival for the Golden State Warriors in the coming seasons as both teams attempt to challenge for a championship. The Thunder are one of the favorited to come out of the West next season.
However, Hartenstein’s position on the Thunder didn’t stop him from naming two players with ties to the Warriors among the best passing big men in league history.
During a recent appearance on the “Ur.Perspectives” podcast, Hartenstein cited Nikola Jokic, Arvydas and Domantas Sabonis, Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green as the best passing bigs in history. Green has spent his entire career with the Warriors, while Bogut had two spells in the Bay Area, winning a championship in 2015.
Golden State will undoubtedly want to lean on Green’s passing in the upcoming season, as they look for ways to get the best out of their new-look roster.
Steve Kerr has a strong balance of veteran and young talent at his disposal this year, which could help the Warriors navigate the long regular-season while remaining competitive.
