Tottenham got a reward for taking the game to Manchester City as Ange Postecoglou’s men snatched a a point after a 3-3 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
A disastrous error from Yves Bissouma seemed to have gifted City the victory, but Spurs drew level in the final minute as Dejan Kulusevski powered home a brilliant header off the crossbar to end a run of three consecutive defeats in the Premier League.
The visitors were downgraded by injuries but uncompromising in sticking to Ange Postecoglou’s aggressive, front-foot style. They took the lead through a nicely worked goal on the break from Son Heung-min in the first half, but defensive problems soon followed.
City blew a number of chances in the first half, with Jeremy Doku and Julian Alvarez hitting the woodwork, but went into the break in front.
Son’s one-goal within two minutes of his opening goal levelled the game up before City worked an intricate move for Phil Foden to put them in front.
In the second half Tottenham fought their way back into the game and deservedly pulled level through Giovanni Lo Celso.
The two late goals followed and there was controversy in stoppage time, when Jack Grealish appeared to be through on goal but the game was stopped for an earlier foul on Erling Haaland.
