Ronaldo makes one-word prediction on title race between Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal

Former Brazil superstar Ronaldo has made his prediction for the Premier League title winner, choosing between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

He believes that the latter City will make history this season by becoming the first team to win a fourth consecutive title.

Arsenal currently lead the way in the title race following their win over Brentford last weekend, as well as Liverpool’s draw with City. The Gunners’ advantage over the Reds lies in goal difference only though, with City only a point further back.

And former Real Madrid star Ronaldo is backing Pep Guardiola’s side to go the distance once again. When the Daily Mail asked him who he thinks will win the title race this season, Ronaldo simply said: “City.”

The Etihad side has won five of the last six titles on offer, with Liverpool the only side to have broken up City’s domination in that time. Jürgen Klopp’s side will be aiming to repeat the trick before he departs Anfield in the summer.

“I don’t think I have ever been involved in a title race with three teams,” Klopp said after the draw with City on Sunday (as per LiverpoolFC.com).

“Germany was usually Bayern, but in one year we became champions it was Leverkusen. And here, there was only one team who became champions usually and we stepped in between one time. I don’t think there was a third time around. I don’t know. I literally don’t know if it changes something.

“We have 10 games to play, so obviously nothing is decided. There are plenty of games. The next one in the league is Brighton at home, traditionally it is not our favorite opponent. It is not that we think, ‘Thank God it’s Brighton.’ They play really good football and that is a tough game for us. At one point we play Tottenham here, we have to go to Aston Villa and stuff like this.

“City play Arsenal, play Tottenham and Aston Villa as well. So many teams are fighting, so much quality. The only thing I need for the moment, I would prefer to have 30 points between us and all the other things, but the realistic thing is are we really in that race from a performance point of view? Today I saw a team that is in the right position, so now let’s see what we can do.”

Reflecting on the title race after City’s draw with Liverpool, Guardiola said: “The reflection of that is a good point to say. Except one year when Liverpool won it with a lot of points, we were always there. The question is to be there. It will be difficult with the quality.”
