Man Utd will be without Bruno Fernandes in the second leg in the Europa League against Sevilla.

Bruno Fernandes is confident Manchester United will be able to win without him when they face Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-final next week.

United travel to Spain with a draw after conceding a two-goal lead on Thursday night to draw 2-2 at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag’s side were the better side throughout the match, but they paid the price for their complacency by scoring two own goals in the closing stages.

It means United have everything to do when they face La Liga again next week and will have to do without the help of Fernandes.

The Portuguese midfielder is suspended for the second leg after receiving a harsh yellow card for a handball on Thursday night, but is confident his side will get the job done.

“We have great qualities in the team [and the players] who are ready to do their job,” he told BT Sport. “Everyone who hasn’t played a lot wants to play and if some of those players won’t be there – in my case I won’t be there – they’ll have a chance to show up and we all think the group is great. qualities have to go out there and win the game, no matter who plays in the first XI or not.

“We conceded two goals in the final minutes and gave the game a bit. But we still have one game to play and the game is still open. It’s like a 0-0 draw because now away goals don’t count anymore, so we have to go there and do our job again.”
