Manchester United are urging Bayern Munich to lower the price of Marcel Sabitzer.
Sabitzer is on loan at United from Bayern and can sign permanently for £25m.
According to The Sun, this is a fee that United are currently unwilling to pay.
United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to continue his Red Devils squad overhaul and is keen to keep the player on loan for the long term.
For his part, Sabitzer is determined to stay.
He made 13 appearances in all competitions for United, starting in the last three Premier League games.
