Manchester United will have to miss at least three of the players who started against Sevilla in the first leg at Old Trafford on Thursday when they travel to Spain. The bigger question is whether Marcel Sabitzer will be fit enough to return to the starting eleven after missing Sunday’s match.
Bruno Fernandes will miss this match through suspension after being booked in the first half of last week’s 2-2 draw.
The Reds will also be without centre-back duo Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
Martinez is out for the rest of the season, while the severity of Varane’s injury is unknown. The former France international and his girlfriend welcomed a new girl into the world this week.
Varane is expected to spend a few weeks on the sidelines. This means that Erik ten Hag will have to start against Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelof – possibly both – in the next games. They kept a clean sheet in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, so let the laughing brothers back off a bit.
Marcel Sabitzer is actively pushing for a transfer from Manchester United, a return to Bayern is unlikely

According to Manchester United’s official website, the manager is awaiting updates on doubtful Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer ahead of the second leg. The Netherlands left-back missed our trip to Forest and Luke Shaw was also absent.
Sabitzer’s return is needed due to Fernandes’ suspension. The Portugal international hasn’t missed many games for United this season and we might struggle without his presence in midfield. The Austrian is someone I think Ten Hag can trust in many races, whether the team needs to attack, defend or do both.
Other injured players on the team include Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford, but both are not expected to return for this game. The same goes for Alejandro Garnacho.
We believe Ten Hag will reveal more information at tomorrow’s press conference.

Manchester United are one of three Premier League clubs who have met the star’s agent.
Manchester United will soon see the agent of one of Europe’s biggest stars.
Former Manchester United star Hernandez has revealed who he wants to win the Premier League.
The player in question is Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch. The 20-year-old Dutchman joined Bayern Munich for around €25m at the start of the season but has struggled to secure a starting spot under Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel.
Gravenberch have played 18 Bundesliga games so far this season, none lasting more than 90 minutes. In fact, he has only played 333 minutes in league games this season. Gravenbirch would be wise to switch clubs next season as he still needs to develop as a player. As for the transfer fee, Bayern paid €25 million for the talented youngster and will recoup most of it.
According to Foot Mercato’s French transfer expert Santi Aouna,
Gravenbirch are being surrounded by Manchester United, Liverpool and league leaders Arsenal.
All three of these teams could use an extra midfielder or two in the summer, but if Liverpool miss out on a Champions League game, United and Arsenal could have an advantage.
