Manchester United will hope that Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw return to training to face Seville
The Europa League quarter-finals were drawn 2-2 ahead of an away game at the Ramon Sanchez Pijuan Stadium on Thursday night. With the Red Devils flying to Spain ahead of the game, it is expected to be confirmed soon who will be on the plane as Eric Ten Haag spoke to the media this evening.
Rashford and Shaw have both missed the last two games with minor injuries but reported for training on Wednesday.
Despite the absence of Scott McTominay, Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer joined Ten Haag’s training sessions and the team suddenly faced an injury crisis.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are ruled out. That means if Shaw isn’t fit enough to start in the middle with Malacia on the left, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will have to start at the back. Christian Eriksen has returned to the starting XI for this weekend’s game against Nottingham Forest and will remain in the squad barring injury.
Tom Heaton, Donnie van de Beek and Phil Jones are long gone. Alejandro Garnacho is also expected to miss the trip despite returning to training.
