Alejandro Garnacho was spotted in Cheshire on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since he was injured in a 0-0 draw with Southampton on 12 March.
He was seen leaving Old Trafford on crutches after the match and was seen on crutches again six days after the injury.
However, Garnacho was seen walking without crutches outside the Cibo restaurant in Hale Village on Saturday afternoon in Cheshire.
And on Monday he hastened his recovery from injury by putting his football boots back on.
There is optimism that he will be back in action before the season ends.
Garnacho was reportedly asked if he would travel to Wembley for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Brighton, but he said he would train instead.
A specific date for his return is yet to be ascertained.
But Erik ten Hag revealed earlier this month that he expects Garnacho to return for the “final round” of the campaign.
Ten Hag said of Garnacho’s return on April 7: “We have something planned, but I don’t want it – he will definitely be back before the end of the season.
“I think he will be in the final stages but I don’t want to put so much pressure on the medics and Garnacho to set a date for his return.”
The Red Devils still have eight Premier league games ahead of them, plus sunday’s potential FA Cup semi-final and final if Ten Hag and the team beat the Seagulls.
Garnacho has made 29 appearances for United this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
The youngster has had a breakthrough under Ten Hag and could still play a role before the end of the season.
