For their summer tour of Asia, Lisandro Martinez has chosen not to travel with the Argentina National Team.
The defender is instead concentrated on finishing his recovery in time to start Manchester United’s preseason training.
In June, Argentina will travel to Asia to play friendly matches against China and Indonesia in advance of the upcoming Copa America.
Reporter Gaston Edul, a dependable source for The Tycoon, tweeted the information.
He tweeted, “Lisandro Martnez will not be on the Argentine National Team tour.”
“He hopes to be fully recovered by the time Manchester United’s preseason games begin on July 12.”
Martinez’s eagerness to get back in shape for club matters as soon as possible will no doubt delight Manchester United supporters.
The Argentine was hurt during the Red Devils’ demoralizing Europa League loss to Sevilla, a result that sealed their elimination from the competition.
Martinez won’t participate in United’s current season any longer, but he seems intent on improving for the following one.
Because of his dependable partnership with fellow World Cup winner Raphael Varane this season, the diminutive center back has won over the Old Trafford faithful.
Martinez’s absence is still felt strongly despite the Frenchman’s triumphant return from an injury sustained during the same game.
A return for Lisandro on July 12 would allow him to take full advantage of the team’s offseason training since United’s first preseason game is scheduled for July 19.
