Manchester United close to signing £50 million star ahead of Liverpool

Liverpool look like they’ve been beaten by Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli star, Kim Min Jae.

The South Korean defender is in high demand as summer approaches. Min Jae has just finished a fantastic season in Naples, where he contributed to the team’s Serie A championship.

However, because of his performance and a release clause worth around £50 million, teams like United and Liverpool are interested.

Also, according to a report from Il Mattino, United is close to finalizing a deal.

Manchester United beat Liverpool to Kim Min Jae
According to Il Mattino, the Red Devils are already looking at housing options in Manchester for the defender.

They now feel they have won the race to sign the Napoli star, which effectively confirms their perception.

As we all know, Liverpool was also interested in signing Min Jae. However, with no Champions League football available at Anfield for the upcoming season, it appears that the South Korean prefers to play at Old Trafford.

Despite having a clause of about £50 million, Napoli is thought to value Min Jae at more like £100 million.

Liverpool can find others
Without a doubt, Kim Min Jae would have been a great addition to Liverpool. They could use a little more strength at the back, and the Napoli player has already shown his mettle.

There will, however, be more options available. Even without participation in the Champions League, Liverpool is still a very large club, and there will be many players looking to join.

While Min Jae would have been ideal, there are other choices.

Liverpool is having a big summer. Although new midfielders are required, they occasionally lack defensive ability.

Therefore, it will be crucial for the Reds to make sure a top center-half like Min Jae shows up.
