Three Premier League teams, including Spurs, want Liverpool star

Prior to a potential summer Liverpool exit, CaoimhIn Kelleher is reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs.

According to a recent report from James Pearce of The Athletic, teams like Brentford, Brighton, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Reds’ backup goalkeeper.

Tottenham, Brighton, and Brentford, as well as teams all over Europe, have expressed interest in Caoimhin Kelleher. He would seize the opportunity to take over as No. 1 this summer, but LFC don’t want to lose him.

Liverpool is expected to want to keep Kelleher, 24, as he is a graduate of their youth academy. It is also understandable why the 24-year-old may want to change clubs in order to appear more frequently given that the Irishman is significantly behind Alisson in Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order.

Due to the fact that all of the aforementioned clubs are in need of a new goalkeeper and that Liverpool’s backup keeper still has three years left on his contract, this summer may be Kelleher’s best chance to finally become a team’s starting goalkeeper. Klopp may sanction a sale in order to honor the player’s wishes.

Kelleher, who has also made 10 appearances for the Republic of Ireland, was promoted to the club’s senior first team in 2019 and has since made 20 appearances across all competitions, recording 10 clean sheets.
