Star ready to sign with Liverpool for £67 million, according to reports

The rumors that Philippe Coutinho wants to go back to Anfield to relaunch his career are not new.

The Brazilian international contacted the Reds, but the European Champions rejected his request to resign, according to a story that Sport covered back in April. According to the Spanish source, Barcelona is willing to offload the Samba star this summer even though they will incur a significant loss. e. for only 67 million pounds (75 million euros).

It must be kept in mind that we sold the former Inter Milan playmaker more than two years ago in a massive deal worth £146 million (Sky Sports).

Super agent Kia Joorabchian has now reportedly told The Sunday World that the 28-year-old attacker wants to return and is even willing to agree to a move to Liverpool in exchange for a pay cut.

According to Kevin Palmer, the South American player has personally pleaded with Jurgen Klopp in the hope that the German coach will accept him back.

When Brendan Rodgers acquired Coutinho for the Reds in 2013, the Brazilian player quickly established himself as a vital part of the team. The playmaker, however, was at his best when Klopp was in charge.

The 61-cap international, who played for us for the entire 2017–18 campaign, was our best player and directly assisted in 20 goals (according to Transfermarkt) in the first half of the season. He made the decision to sign on with Barcelona in January 2018, but that decision has since become his worst nightmare.

He was loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer after a mediocre debut season with the Catalan giants. In all honesty, his statistics for the German champions have been respectable. He has been able to directly contribute to 14 goals so far in 15 league starts (Transfermarkt) (8 goals and 6 assists).

Thomas Muller, who has been in excellent form this season and has already handed out 20 assists in the Bundesliga (Transferamarkt), has been preferred by Bayern, and he has not started as frequently since the turn of the year. Sadly, Coutinho is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.

Despite being a seasoned Premier League player, the former Nerazzurri attacker has not been missed at all since leaving. Yes, we are still without a natural No to replace him. 10 on the team, but to be fair, he relies on us much more than we do on him.
