Micky van de Ven, a defender for Wolfsburg, is reportedly a target for Liverpool this summer, and he hasn’t been shy about saying he hopes to play at Anfield someday.
In response to rumors that he might transfer to Liverpool this summer, Micky van de Ven said that playing at Anfield would be a “dream” for him.
With the exception of one game, the 22-year-old has started for Wolfsburg this season as they finished eighth, just missing out on a spot in the European playoffs. But because of his performance, he has already drawn interest from outside parties, including Liverpool and several other Premier League clubs.
Van de Ven is reportedly a target for Jurgen Klopp and the club’s new sporting director, Jorg Schmadtke, so convincing him to move to Merseyside might not be difficult. He acknowledged that it would be a dream come true for him to play for the Reds and that he has already visited Anfield as a fan.
Featuring four new additions on the opening day of the upcoming campaign, Klopp’s ideal Liverpool XI.
He stated to AZ WAZ via The Anfield Talk, “I once went to the Liverpool stadium with my dad. On Boxing Day after Christmas, that happened. Liverpool will play Arsenal. Madness, that. Then, when “You’ll Never Walk Alone” starts playing, you get goosebumps. To play there is a fantasy. “.
With James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita all expected to leave the team at the end of June, the midfield will undoubtedly be Liverpool’s top priority this summer. At the conclusion of his disastrous season-long loan, Arthur will also return to Juventus.
To try and secure their top targets early, Klopp and Schmadtke are moving, though. German Schmadtke was hired by Liverpool on Tuesday morning following the departure of Julian Ward, and his responsibility is to make sure the Reds make the best possible short-term signings.
