Liverpool are reported to have renewed their pursuit of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
Shortly after Chiesa starred in Italy’s successful Euro 2020 campaign, Liverpool submitted an £86m bid for the attacker.
Juventus ultimately turned down Liverpool’s offer, ensuring Chiesa remained in Turin for the last three seasons.
Chiesa has netted 22 goals and provided 20 assists in 94 appearances for Juventus, but it seems his time with the club could be coming to an end.
The 25-year-old is reported to be unhappy at the Allianz Stadium and is free to leave the Italian giants ahead of the 2023-24 season.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, via Football Italia, Liverpool have revived their interest in Chiesea and are currently monitoring his situation.
Juventus will consider sanctioning a sale this summer if they receive offers in the region of €35m (£30m) and €45m (£38.5m).
Liverpool will be challenged for Chiesa’s signature, with Newcastle United and Bayern Munich showing interest.
The German champions have made an enquiry about the player’s availability, as they look to move ahead of their competitors.
After missing the majority of 2022 with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Chiesa came back to action in November.
The Italian went ahead to make 33 appearances for Juventus during the 2022-23 season, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Chiesa is part of Roberto Mancini’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League finals, where Italy will play Spain in the final four.
With Chiesa heading towards the exit door, Juventus have supposedly identified Galatasaray’s Nicolo Zaniolo and Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto as possible replacements.
