Federico Valverde offers firm response to Chelsea & Liverpool interest

Chelsea and Liverpool were among the teams to inquire about Federico Valverde, but they were quickly turned down. Valverde’s contract with Real Madrid expires in 2027, so he has no interest in leaving.

Despite interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, and a few other clubs, Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has categorically stated that he will not be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

With the splashy signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, Los Blancos have already strengthened their midfield this window, giving Carlo Ancelotti’s team an abundance of talented midfield options moving forward.

Bellingham joins a group that already consists of Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and it’s anticipated that Dani Ceballos will also sign a contract extension.

Chelsea and Liverpool are among the teams that contacted the Spanish team to inquire about Valverde’s availability as the competition for playing time in the Real Madrid midfield heats up, 90min understands. However, both were quickly knocked back.

The 24-year-old is a player Real Madrid do not want to lose, and Valverde has stated he has no plans to leave the club either.

When asked if he would consider joining Chelsea or Liverpool, Valverde responded, “No, no.
I’m at Madrid, trying to enjoy every moment and leave my mark on the best club in the world.

“I want to keep winning titles for Real Madrid supporters.”

Valverde, who has made over 200 appearances for Los Blancos and won no fewer than nine trophies in his five seasons with the senior team, has been a key player for Real in recent years.

It is anticipated that Valverde, who Ancelotti has also used on the right wing, will remain a crucial component of Real’s midfield alongside Bellingham, but the manager undoubtedly faces a difficult task in trying to keep all of his key players happy.

However, Valverde is viewed as a crucial component of both the present and future in Madrid, whereas Modric, 37, and Kroos, 33, are approaching the end of their respective careers.
