According to an agent who claims to have inside information about the situation, Liverpool are competing for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and may sign him before Real Madrid.
212 goals in 260 games and five Ligue 1 championships, three French cups, two French league cups, and three French super cups have all been won by PSG thanks to Mbappe’s incredible run there. However, he might not have much longer to spend at the Parc des Princes.
When Mbappe announced earlier this month that he would not exercise the option to extend his contract from 2024 to 2025, he shocked PSG. In order to keep him from leaving on a free transfer next year, the French club must either try to negotiate a completely new contract or sell him this summer.

When Mbappe turned down his advances to sign a new contract with PSG last year, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez was furious. In spite of this, Perez is prepared to bring Mbappe to Madrid this summer despite his frustration.
Although, it appears Madrid may face competition from Liverpool for the France international. According to FIFA agent Marco Kirdemir, Jurgen Klopp’s side are considering making a huge statement by landing the attacker first.
Mbappe’s situation was fully explained by Kirdemir in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Marca. “I have spoken with close family members of the Qatari family that run the club, and they have told me that they are very angry,” he said. “They desired and believed he would extend. The Emir is furiously angry.”
The representative later mentioned Liverpool by name. According to him, “Liverpool are in a pricey bidding war with Real Madrid for Mbappe.”
Then, according to Marca, Liverpool might bid a staggering €300 million (£258 million) to PSG in order to sign Mbappe before Madrid. The current world record for a transfer is the £200 million paid by PSG for Neymar in August 2017. A deal at this price would shatter it.
According to prior reports, PSG have set Mbappe’s asking price at €200 million (£171 million). There have also been rumors that the player has already agreed to move on to Madrid, which would indicate that Liverpool are now too late to sign him.
