Dominik Szoboszlai’s agent has explained one of the main reasons why the Hungary international decided to join Liverpool from RB Leipzig this summer.
The 22-year-old joined the Premier League from the Bundesliga earlier this month after Jurgen Klopp’s side activated his £60million release clause.
The dynamic midfielder immediately bolsters the German tactician’s starting XI and under the former Borussia Dortmund head coach, our new No.8 and his entourage believe he can take his game to the next level.
“The coach is always important, maybe one of the most important factors; It was important before and it still is, but not from a personal point of view,” Matyas Esterhazy, the midfielder’s agent, told Sport TV (as quoted by the Liverpool Echo).
“Much more from a philosophy point of view, what he stands for, what he thinks about football, how he builds his team, what kind of football he wants to play, what style of player his main players are. They tell us that Jürgen Klopp is a perfect professional for Dominik.”
Looking at the successful teams Klopp has built during his managerial career, it’s clear he’s a sensational manager.
He puts the players at ease and allows them to play to their strengths and we hope he can do just that for Szoboszlai at Liverpool.
The former RB Salzburg player had a brilliant season last term – scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists and there’s no doubt he’s the type of player the Reds lacked last term.
The energy and drive he offers is hugely exciting and we will definitely benefit from having a midfielder who can put his name on the goalscoring list.
