Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes issues three-word response to Liverpool transfer

Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has reacted on Instagram to Fabinho completing a move from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia.

After many victories in English football, including the European Cup, Fabinho retired from the Premier League and decided to start a new chapter in the growing Saudi Pro League.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad (BBC Sport) and will now team up with Karim Benzema – the Real Madrid legend has reacted to his move.

When Liverpool and Al-Ittihad announced Fabinho’s transfer, the player himself took to Instagram to express his feelings to Anfield fans.

With Jordan Henderson also moving to Saudi Arabia, it would have all been unexpected for the club and an emotional week.

In the comments section of the Brazilian star’s IG post, fellow countryman Bruno Guimaraes simply wrote ‘good luck lean’, while Alisson Becker called him a ‘legend’ and Andy Robertson added, ‘what a player’.

Fabinho leaves a Liverpool legend
While Liverpool’s rise to the top was an understated figure, he joined the club in the shadow of newcomers Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker.

But he leaves the team with the same high marks as them and is undoubtedly a Liverpool legend.

Although that Champions League victory will be long remembered, he and his teammates will be remembered for ending Liverpool’s 30-year wait to become champions of England again.
