Liverpool have been told who they should look to acquire as Mohamed Salah’s replacement.
The international break has begun and Liverpool will not be back in action until October 21, when they face rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to mount a title challenge this season and will be hoping they can get back to winning ways against the Toffees, having failed to win their last two Premier League games. They were controversially beaten by Tottenham last month before drawing against Brighton at the weekend.
Liverpool currently are fourth in the league, just three points adrift of Tottenham and Arsenal, while they have also made an unbeaten start to their Europa League campaign with wins over LASK and Union Saint-Gilloise.
Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock believes the Reds should sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if Mohamad Salah leaves the club.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Warnock said:
“Everyone’s replaceable. I’ve said it about [Luis] Suarez, I’ve said it about [Philippe] Coutinho, and he [Salah] will be replaceable in time.
“I think the big problem is with Salah if you get a £175million offer from Saudi Arabia that’s difficult to turn down.
“I wouldn’t sell him in January but maybe next season, but only if you’ve got someone else lined up. You’d have to have someone exciting lined up, the one player that springs to mind is Kvaratskhelia.
“He’s the one player you look at where you think he’s young and has potential and can play, but he’s a left-sided player, could he play on the right?”
