Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has explained how Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could beat Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Anfield next weekend.
The Reds are at the top of the league table at the moment. They have picked up 37 points from 16 matches.
United are way down in sixth. The Red Devils are on 27 points from 16 games.
It is clear that Erik ten Hag’s side are not going to even challenge for the Premier League title this season. They may not even end up in the top four, especially given how Aston Villa are doing.
The former United defender believes that Liverpool could hammer the Red Devils next weekend.
The pundit has noted that if Liverpool score an early goal, then United could collapse.
Neville said on his podcast: “If you are Liverpool, you go right for Manchester United early in the game, and sort of just get into their heads. If you get a goal in front, they could capitulate.
“They have got it in them. We have seen before, last season. They capitulate quite often. They concede three or four goals quite regularly.”
The pundit added: “I would be licking my lips if I were Liverpool.”
In my opinion, Liverpool are the clear favourites for the match against Manchester United.
Yes, we know that United can win against strong teams. After all, they recently beat Chelsea.
However, Liverpool are a force to be reckoned with and are getting back to their best.
Liverpool will be at home as well for the match against United. I really do not see how the Red Devils could even pick up a point at Anfield.
