‘WE’RE SCREWED, SACK THE MEDICAL STAFF’ – Fans React After Another Liverpool Player Is Ruled Out Of Chelsea Clash

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is not expected to be fit for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea later this month.

The Hungary international suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury during the league win over the Blues a couple of weeks ago.

It now seems Szoboszlai will join Trent Alexander-Arnold on the absentee list for the trip to Wembley, leaving fans on X very concerned about the team’s chances of winning the game:

The 23-year-old has impressed supporters since arriving from RB Leipzig for £60m at the start of the season, and it will be a big disappointment if he can’t face Chelsea.

It means that others will have to step up in Szoboslai’s absence, with the likes of Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister now the favoured midfield trio to be named as starters for the final.

As mentioned, Alexander-Arnold is expected to be out for an extended period after aggravating a pre-existing knee injury during the 3-1 win over Burnley last weekend.

Thiago Alcantara has picked up another muscular problem, while Stefan Bajcetic and Joel Matip also remain on the treatment table.

Alisson Becker, Joe Gomez and Ryan Gravenberch are set to return from illness soon, while Mo Salah is close to making his comeback from a hamstring issue.
