Trent Alexander-Arnold hires security after been stalked by a crazy fan

Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly been hounded over the past one year by a sex-crazed fan.

A report in The Sun claims the Liverpool star – who is currently out with a knee injury – has tried various methods to shake off and deal with the stalker.

This includes changing his phone number and installing CCTV and further alarms at his Cheshire home, while he has also had his post checked after being sent various letters and materials of an obscene nature.

However, the situation has got so bad that Alexander-Arnold has been forced to hire a bodyguard and private detective in order to protect himself.

The report also states the woman has turned up at the defender’s house, Liverpool’s training ground and even followed him to his favourite restaurants.

Following security advice, the reports adds the 26-year-old has been told not to put any of his movements on social media, with his family also sent sick messages by the stalker.

Liverpool are reportedly aware of the circumstances and are believed to be providing their full support to Alexander-Arnold.

A source told The Sun: ‘This has been more than a year of hell for Trent.

‘This woman has terrorised him and his family, bombarding him with explicit messages, getting hold of his number and calling him endlessly and sending unhinged letters and obscene materials to his Cheshire home.

‘It’s been a really worrying time, and Trent has done his utmost not to let it affect his performances on the pitch.’

The report does not state if the police have been alerted to the situation, but the news comes just over 24 hours before Liverpool face off against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

It also comes after Alexander-Arnold was involved in a car crash back in October, with it claimed that the defender had ‘cheated death’ after he narrowly avoided being crushed in his car by a 70ft electrical pylon.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, has made more than 300 appearances for Liverpool since making his debut in 2016, with the academy graduate becoming integral for Jurgen Klopp’s side ever since.

The defender, who can play in midfield, has also won 23 caps for England since making his debut in 2018 and he has represented the Three Lions at the World Cup in 2018 and 2022.

Alexander-Arnold has made 29 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season, scoring twice and adding 10 assists as Liverpool remain in the running to win all four competitions they are in.
