‘I WANT TO’: What Jamal Musiala has said on his future amid Liverpool transfer links

Jamal Musiala was the man to watch as Germany’s home European Championships got off to a blistering start.

The host nation romped to a 5-1 win over Scotland in the competition’s curtain-raiser in Munich. Germany were rampant from the outset – with Musiala dazzling.

He ran amok throughout the Allianz Arena encounter and scored his country’s second goal in the 19th minute when lashing home a fierce strike.

If anyone had not witnessed the 21-year-old previously in action then they would have been blown away by his performance. Julian Nagelsmann’s side will go far in the Euros if Musiala continues his impressive form.

Since joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea in 2019, Musiala has scored 43 goals in 163 games – and won four Bundesliga titles. However, he has been linked with a switch back to England.

The Independent reported in April that Liverpool are one of the clubs who are ‘looking’ at the attacking midfielder, along with Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, and he might be ‘buyable’ either this summer or next.

Musiala is under contract at Bayern until the summer of 2026 and discussed his future before the Euros started. Quoted by BILD (via iMiaSanMia), said:

“For me, the coaching decision was important. I want us to play good, attractive football and compete for the title in the league and the Champions League with a good team.

“I want to play in an environment where there’s a good feeling and the boys are happy on the pitch. Because then I can also show my qualities.”

Musiale is valued at €120 million by Transfermrkt.
