Max Verstappen reiterated his commitment to Red Bull, describing the team as “like a second family” to him, dashing Mercedes’ hopes of signing the reigning F1 world champion.
Mercedes has not hidden its desire to sign Verstappen to replace Lewis Hamilton for F1 in 2025, with Toto Wolff on Friday describing the Dutchman as his “back-up scenario”.
But Verstappen shared his love for Red Bull and stressed the importance of the team letting him “be himself”.
