On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers added two more players to its roster for the upcoming 2024-24 NBA season. The franchise announced the signings of 7-foot center Kylor Kelley and 6-foot-3 guard Quincy Olivari. The 17-time NBA champions, however, didn’t reveal the exact contract terms of both new signings.
According to The Athletic’s Jovan Buha, Kelley was signed to an Exhibit-10 contract. According to Lakers Nation’s Trevor Lane, Olivari too was signed to an Exhibit-10 contract.
Fans quickly reacted to the Lakers securing Kelley and Olivari’s services on X.
Scores of Lakers faithful mocked Rob Pelinka and Co. for their latest offseason decision.
One fan seemingly took a jibe at the Lakers and claimed that the new signings would help the franchise win another championship.
“As a fan now I have to be delusional bc how are we gonna be better if we keep signing straight G-League players instead of stars,” a fan wrote.
“Dysfunctional family franchise. Please sell the team,” one fan said.
Another X user underlined that signings like these are the reason why the Lakers haven’t won more than one NBA title in the last decade.
“With the additions of an inexperienced podcaster coach, an undeserved draftee and now these two.. the league best watch out,” wrote another fan while taking a dig at the Lakers.
“Don’t post until u make real trades we don’t care about AI signings,” a seemingly furious fan said.
