Pau Gasol has continued to give support to the family of Kobe Bryant after their lives were torn apart by the death of the Lakers legend in 2020, and now the ex-Los Angeles Laker and Vanessa Bryant feel the love from fans as they go on vacation together.
Gasol, a six-time NBA All-Star, played with Bryant at the Lakers from 2008-2014 where they won two NBA titles and forged a deep connection on and off the basketball court at the Crypto.com Arena.
Together, Kobe and Pau formed one of the most formidable duos in the NBA, leading the Lakers to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances and winning two championships in 2009 and 2010. Kobe often credited Pau for being instrumental in those championships, recognizing him as a vital piece in the Lakers’ success.
So since the death of the Black Mamba in 2020 in a helicopter accident in California, his Spanish ex-teammate has really dug in for the Bryant family and has tried to support them, so much so that they’re willing to invite him on vacations with them.
Their latest trip saw them head to France to visit Disneyland, with Gasol present alongside Vanessa Bryant and her daughters and it’s fair to say that fans loved photos of the trip when she posted them to Instagram.

The world was stunned to learn that Bryant tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. The accident occurred in Calabasas, California, when the helicopter he was traveling in crashed into a hillside due to poor weather conditions, including heavy fog.
The crash killed all nine people on board, including Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. The group was en route to a basketball tournament at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, where Gianna was scheduled to play.
The accident was extensively investigated, and it was determined that the pilot likely became disoriented due to the fog, leading to the crash that decimated the lives of the Bryant family and plunged the sports world into mourning.
