A new picture of San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, has kept fans wondering whether the couple could be due to become parents soon as the star running back remains on the injury reserve list.
McCaffrey was the NFL’s stand out player in 2023/24 after producing 21 touchdowns and making 1459 rushing yards from 272 carries, with another 564 from receptions, but that hasn’t been the story this season as he finds himself struck with a bilateral Achilles problem.
Yet to make an appearance in the campaign as Brock Purdy loses one of his most important targets, fans have struggled for a glimpse of what the 28-year-old has been up to but now they may have got a hint based on a photo of Culpo.
The pair have been dating around 2019 before getting engaged in 2023 and tying the knot on June 29, 2024 and now it seems the NFL star and ex-Miss Universe model could be kicking off their family at last.
Culpo’s “A little bit of everything lately” upload to Instagram gave fans an update of the couples’ lives at the moment and eagle-eyed fans suspect they’ve sussed out that the pair could be due to welcome a child thanks to a gesture from McCaffrey used in baby announcements.
One user posted to Instagram, “I see a pregnancy announcement in the future.”
A second added, “Huhhhh. Baby?”
And a third wrote, “Why did my heart stop with the hand placement on the belly?”
In the black and white photo, the running back is smiling as he looks into the eyes of his wife and his right arm is placed over her abdomen as the model wears a floral base-white dress and smiles back.
When couples want to hint they’re about to have a baby, it’s often a symbol to place a hand over the abdomen or above the uterus to clue family and friends in that something is going on down there.
Other photos in the collage includes inside looks of their home and modern interior choices and comforts, their pet dog, Culpo modelling some of the latest fashion trends and a cute snap of the couple holding hands in their car.
