Bautista’s remarks on Trump were serious, not just comedic

Dave Bautista’s comedic segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” addressing Donald Trump’s tough guy image was not only entertaining but also conveyed a significant message about the upcoming election.

In the Wednesday episode, Bautista delivered a humorous, NSFW sketch that critiqued Trump’s persona. While the sketch provided laughs, its deeper impact should not be overlooked.

As a prominent Marvel actor and former WWE star, Bautista has endorsed the Harris-Walz campaign, continuing his support from the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020. His latest critique of Trump is particularly relevant, given the MAGA movement’s efforts to attract male voters through far-right influencers and peer pressure.

Bautista challenged the notion of masculinity often associated with Trump, stating, “Fellas, we gotta talk. A lot of men seem to think that Donald Trump is some kind of tough guy. He’s not.” He humorously pointed out that Trump wears more makeup than Dolly Parton, whines like a child, and even fears birds.

The segment included various jabs aimed at Trump, including a line about his physique: “Look at that gut. Like a garbage bag full of buttermilk.” Bautista highlighted Trump’s tendency to insult others while obsessively praising his own appearance, suggesting this comment would likely irritate Trump.

Bautista also referenced Trump’s draft deferment due to bone spurs and his admiration for Putin. He concluded with a list of Trump’s fears, particularly that American men might discover his weaknesses, finishing with a series of colorful insults that alluded to Trump’s notorious remarks about women.
