BROOKLYN BOMBSHELL: Nets Veteran Emerges as Warriors’ Top Trade Target in Stunning Insider Revelation

After an overwhelming start to the 2024-25 NBA season, following a turbulent offseason, the Golden State Warriors have hit a rough patch, losing seven of their past nine games.

With the team heading in the wrong direction after some early-season success, rumors have surfaced about the Warriors being adamant about acquiring another star player ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

Although there are not a lot of big-name players currently on the market other than Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, the Warriors’ brass seems intent on making a deal, be it landing Butler or a potential game-changer from the Brooklyn Nets.

“In trade talks between the Nets and Warriors, Cam Johnson appears to be their top target. Brooklyn would likely require Jonathan Kuminga in any potential deal,” Evan Sidery of Forbes wrote on X.

The addition of Johnson and the potential departure of Kuminga might not move the needle that much for the Warriors as Steve Kerr tries to figure out a way to get his team back on track and move up the standings in the Western Conference.

However, sometimes a deal like this can right the ship immediately, as both players clearly need a change of scenery, with Brooklyn in a rebuild and Golden State needing a boost.

With there still a few weeks when teams can make trades, it’ll be interesting to see if the Warriors are content going after Johnson or if they try to go after a big-name player like Butler or perhaps LeBron James.
