The Detroit Lions have been nothing short of dominant throughout the 2024 NFL season.
They’ve put on quite the show all year, finding great success on both sides of the ball.
Dan Campbell has rallied the troops and has the team in a prime position to fight for a first-round bye in the playoffs.
The job isn’t done yet, but the Lions are more confident than they’ve been in some time.
A lot of that confidence comes from Jared Goff, who has looked like an MVP candidate at many points throughout the year.
The Lions’ offensive line has helped protect him when he needs it the most, and like other quarterbacks across the league, Goff wanted to give them gifts as a token of his appreciation.
He said as much recently, admitting that his gifts aren’t as lavish as some other quarterbacks across the league.
“It’s hard when you got guys giving out Toyota trucks, to try and keep up with that, but I got them a nice YETI package with a ton of Wagyu, steaks, and beef. I hope they like it,” Goff said via Tim Twentyman on X.
A gift of a cooler filled with various types of meat might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but offensive linemen are large humans.
They need a lot of protein and meat to keep themselves going, so this gift should keep on giving and help Goff and the offense keep running smoothly.
The season is long and grueling, and offensive linemen might not get paid the most on the team, but gifts like this can go a long way in terms of player satisfaction.
