BREAKING NEWS: Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers Admits Upcoming Game Against Dolphins Could Be His Last in NFL

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, is getting ready for the last game of the regular season against the Miami Dolphins as if it could be his final NFL game. “Yeah, for sure,” Rodgers replied when asked about the possibility.

The 2024 season was tough for both Rodgers and the Jets. The team hasn’t made it to the playoffs in 14 years and their record is 4-12. They also let go of their head coach and general manager. Rodgers seemed out of practice after getting hurt and couldn’t lead the team as well as people hoped when the Jets got him in 2023. He finished 63.0% of his passes, throwing for 3,623 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. This was just the fourth time in his 17 years as a starter that he had more than 10 interceptions.

When he was asked if he’s thinking about retiring, Rodgers said he wants to rest before deciding. He has thought about retiring a few times lately. “I need to take a break and make sure I’m fully rested before making a decision,” Rodgers said to reporters. Rodgers mentioned that he might not have a say in what happens with his NFL career.

He believes changes are coming, and if he’s involved, he wants everyone to know he’s thankful for his time so far. The Jets have a new leadership team for the upcoming season, so it’s unclear if they’ll want Rodgers as their quarterback in 2025.

Before, it was suggested that Rodgers and the Jets will probably part ways, because of his difficulties this season and tense relationship with owner Woody Johnson.
