BREAKING NEWS: Mavericks’ Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson get crucial injury updates for Rockets game

The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets will play against each other on January 1 to start the new year. The game on Wednesday is expected to be intense, as Dallas got good news about two players who were injured. Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, who missed Monday’s game, are not on the NBA injury list. Luka Doncic is still out with a calf injury, and Naji Marshall will miss the game because of a suspension. Dante Exum is currently getting better from wrist surgery, and Dereck Lively II might not play because of a hurt hip. Lively hasn’t been in the team’s last three games. The team has lost three out of their last four games, so having Lively back would be really helpful. Irving and Thompson coming back to play will be very important. Kyrie couldn’t play on Monday because his right shoulder hurt, and Thompson was sick. If everything goes well, it looks like both of them will be able to play on Wednesday night.
