‘Intense’ admission about Liverpool and Enzo Fernandez transfer claim from Alexis Mac Allister

Alexis Mac Allister praised Jurgen Klopp’s personnel management abilities and said that making his Premier League debut for Liverpool was a day he would never forget.

By joining from Brighton and Hove Albion back in June, Mac Allister became Klopp’s first acquisition of the summer.

The 24-year-old assisted Argentina in winning the 2022 World Cup while scoring 20 goals in 112 games for the Seagulls.

In Sunday’s 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which he started for the Reds in the Premier League, he played a significant role. Mohamed Salah was set free down the right after being set up by Mac Allister’s searching pass in Luis Diaz’s game-winning goal.

When asked how it felt to make his competitive debut, he responded to Paramount+ after the game, “A great joy to be able to debut with this great shirt, and that I waited so long.”

“I’m really excited for my first game because I made my debut in this shirt. It finally happened after a difficult preseason, and having my family there to support me is wonderful as well. A day I’ll always remember. ”

The first goal of the match was scored by Diaz after 18 minutes thanks to a stunning pass from Salah, who had earlier hit the crossbar during Liverpool’s early dominance at Stamford Bridge. In the 37th minute, Axel Disasi, a Chelsea rookie, equalized for the home team.

Very intense; we were aware of their significant preseason improvement under a new coach and with new players, Mac Allister said of the match.

“In the end, a draw—not the result we wanted because we obviously wanted to win—but it’s a draw nonetheless, and it’s a good way to start the season. ”

Mac Allister also thinks that Enzo Fernandez’s performance against the Reds demonstrated why Chelsea paid Benfica £106.8m for his services back in January.

He declared: “I’ve already played against him several times; I’ve played with him, and he’s a fantastic player. We have a great relationship, and I greatly respect him.

“Today he demonstrated the reasons why they paid what they did for him and why he is in this position, and it makes me happy for him, obviously. ”

And when asked about his relationship with his boss, Mac Allister responded, “Jurgen is a person who is close to his players; he treats them in a great way, and I think that is the most important thing a person has.

“It’s a pleasure for me to be able to work with him as well, and he treats me very well.
We’ve had good discussions about what he expects of me on the field.”
