The wonderkid who will change the Reds’ fortune in the transfer market will cost Liverpool £42.9 million, according to a report

In April 2023, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp watched his team lose 4-1 to Manchester City in the Premier League.
Liverpool has recently experienced a few setbacks in the transfer market after Chelsea was successful in signing both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

However, Liverpool is reportedly prepared to pay £42.9 million for a new player, so their luck might be about to change.

The Reds’ midfield is still a weakness, but they also want to strengthen their defense, especially at center-back. The center of Jurgen Klopp’s back four needs to be strengthened because Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, and Ibrahima Konate are out of favor and Ibrahima Konate poses a risk of injury.

New Signing Announced by Chelsea On August 14, 2023, Moises Caicedo and his mother were pictured at Chelsea Training Ground in Cobham, England; Liverpool were unable to sign him.

Lavia and Caicedo both chose Chelsea over Liverpool.
Despite the 21-year-old Portuguese center back being close to reaching a new contract with his current team, Liverpool will sign Goncalo Inacio from Sporting Lisbon, according to Portuguese publication Diario de Noticias.

Inacio’s release clause is currently worth £38.5 million, but once he signs his new contract, it will only increase to £42.9 million. The Portuguese outlet claims that Liverpool is willing to match that asking price in order to strengthen their defense.

The Reds will have to move quickly, though, as it is said that Manchester United, PSG, and Newcastle United are also interested in hiring him.

On August 12, 2023, in Lisbon, Portugal, at Estadio Jose Alvalade, Liverpool target Goncalo Inacio of Sporting CP was in action during the Liga Portugal Betclic match between Sporting CP and FC Vizela.

Inacio graduated from the Sporting Lisbon youth system.
As a left-footed center-back, Inacio would bring something that Liverpool’s other four options do not. Although Virgil van Dijk primarily plays on that side, the addition of Inacio would give the Dutchman more chances to rest while Liverpool competes in the Europa League or to simply move over to his more natural side.

Inacio advanced into the first team after passing through the Sporting academy. Roberto Martinez called him up to the senior national team for his debut in March after seeing how well he had performed. Inacio’s transfer market value is £25.7 million.

Jurgen Klopp has spoken out about the club’s decision to make a sizable offer for Caicedo, but the Reds manager may leave Anfield earlier than expected. While struggling in the transfer market, Liverpool is pursuing up to four midfielders.
