Jurgen Klopp has clearly stated that Mohamed Salah is committed to Liverpool despite interest from Al Ittihad.
The German couldn’t help but laugh at the Egyptian who had to answer another question about the Egyptian’s future at Anfield.
The 31-year-old is under scrutiny over his Merseyside future following interest from Saudi Arabia despite signing a three-year contract extension last summer.
The Reds were forced to reject a £150m verbal bid from the Saudi Arabia Pro League champions on the final day of the transfer window. Liverpool have insisted throughout the summer that the club’s fifth all-time top scorer will not be sold this summer.
Salah left the training ground in good spirits just hours before Friday’s deadline. The Egyptian kept his place in Klopp’s starting line-up against Aston Villa despite speculation over where he could play in the coming weeks.
Klopp faced further questions about Salah’s mindset ahead of the meeting with his Midland rivals, but the German was quick to dismiss rumors that the Liverpool forward was unlucky or worried. “I didn’t need it. It’s a media story and it never came out. “I have a big desk in my office, I have a lot of papers and laptops and iPads, none of which deal with this kind of news,” he said.
“I have a lot of other things to do, but I haven’t thought about it yet. Mo had a normal and good training week. I have nothing to think about,” he said.
