Liverpool see Champions League superstar as ‘top replacement’ for Mohamed Salah

Liverpool have reportedly viewed Jamal Musiala as an ideal successor to Mohamed Salah, even though the Bayern Munich star isn’t eager to leave Germany.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 20-year-old talent is seen as a ‘top replacement’ for the Reds for their star winger, with Salah expected to depart Liverpool next year.

Musiala scored for Bayern last night in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League win against Galatasaray, He is currently enjoying a strong season with the Bundesliga giants under Thomas Tuchel.

With talk of a new contract, it’s likely that Liverpool won’t stand a chance in signing Musiala even if they secure a major payday via the potential sale of Salah in 2024.

Indeed, the attacking midfielder would be quite the signing for Liverpool, yet all signs point to Musiala remaining with Bayern for some time before heading to the Premier League.

Musiala seems in no rush to leave Bayern for a return to England, with the youngster playing a key role for Bayern in what is turning out to be an exciting year for the German side.

And for Liverpool, there is every chance that the Reds might now have to wait it out for the 20-year-old superstar, who could be keen to staying at Bayern for quite some time.

Given how young Musiala is, though, this revelation is hardly a dealbreaker, and Liverpool could be willing to wait for the attacking midfielder when he is ready to leave Bayern.
