LUTON vs LIVERPOOL: Full team squad with at least five players missing

Liverpool return to action in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

A huge 18 points separates the two sides in the table, with the Reds heading into the clash on the back of a 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night. Luton, on the other hand, were beaten 3-1 by Aston Villa last time out.

Speaking on Friday morning, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed Luis Diaz will decide whether or not he is ready to play this afternoon.

The forward returned to training on Wednesday amid fears for his father’s safety after he was seized at gunpoint by members of the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) last weekend. His mother, Cilenis Marulanda, was also kidnapped but later released.

Klopp also revealed that neither Thiago Alcantara nor Stefan Bajcetic are back in training after long injuries. Thiago has yet to feature so far this season as he continues his recovery from a hip issue that required surgery in the summer, but Klopp is hopeful he will return in the New Year.

Curtis Jones was seemingly not pictured in training images released by the club on Friday, but it remains to be seen what the situation is with him. So with the latest Liverpool team news in mind, we have taken a look at the full squad available to Klopp for this afternoon’s game.
