49ERS INJURY REPORT: Latest on Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and more for Week 4

The 49ers have not had the start they would’ve liked to have, to begin the 2024 NFL Season. They’ve lost two consecutive games and are 1-2 heading into the Week 4 game against the New England Patriots. The 49ers are also last in the NFC West conference.

The bigger picture in all of this is that the team has not been in full strength right from game one against the New York Jets. Will the star players be back in action against the Patriots or will the 49ers be handicapped this week as well? Let’s find out.

Start wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who has been suffering from calf injury was limited at practices on Thursday and Friday. Brock Purdy had some back soreness earlier in the week. The 49ers QB is ready to go on Sunday after being a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The MRI report revealed no major injury for Purdy.

George Kittle, who is suffering from hamstring injury, was a limited participant at practice this week. The 49ers tight end has been cleared to play in Week 4. Linebackers Curtis Robinson and Jordan Elliott were carted off the field on Thursday.

Robinson tore his ACL and is out for Week 4. Meanwhile, Elliott esaped a major scare and is listed as questionable for Sunday.The 49ers injury report for Week 4 game against the Patriots is as follows:

Deebo Samuel injury status
Deebo Samuel would be looking to lace up for the Sunday clash against New England Patriots at the Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers wide receiver suffered calf injury during Week 2 loss to the Vikings.

Kyle Shanahan initially mentioned that Samuel could miss at least two games. The 49ers WR did not practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thurday and Friday. The team has listed Samuel as questionable for Week 5.

George Kittle injury status
George Kittle will be back in action this week and that is a major boost for the 49ers. The five-time Pro Bowl tight end suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Kittle missed the Week 3 clash against the Los Angeles Rams.
Earlier this week, the 49ers TE said that he was “feeling fantastic” and that he is “very excited to play football.” Kittle has 11 cathces for 116 yards and one touchdown, in the two games so far he’s played this season.

Christian McCaffrey injury status
The San Francisco 49ers have missed Christian McCaffrey the most. The star running back has been a vital cog of their offense. McCaffrey missed majority of the training camp and returned before season opener against the New York Jets.He missed that game and went on injury reserve on September 14.

McCaffrey has been dealing with Achilles tendinitis. The three-time Pro Bowler travelled to Germany to visit a specialist for this injury. Orthobiologics specialist Kenton Fibel believes that McCaffrey could miss a “couple of months” post his return from Europe.
